yay! finally internet at home again!

the guy came this morning to hook it up, and was like... 'oh, you guys already have everything set up, wish i had known this before, i could have done it a week ago when i was doing another unit here.' all he had to do was call to get them to connect everything. SO DUMB!

i just realized that i promised a picture of the ring once i got my internet back, but i can't find the camera anywhere for the life of me! we haven't used it since moving in, and i think tyler put it somewhere? i have no idea where it is. i HOPE he put it somewhere...

FOUND IT! success. you just have to think 'where would i stash the camera if i liked to stash things in random places they don't belong so that it looks clean?'. apparently that is in the basket with extra cables for the tv. go figure. now to find the thing that lets me upload the pictures to the computer...


RINGRING!! haha. i really like it. tyler says i kind of picked it out. we went and looked a jewellery a little while ago... i didn't want anything big. i used to always say i didn't want diamonds, and certainly not gold. turns out i actually like white gold, and three little sparkly diamonds are perfect. they don't stick up, which is nice. they don't catch on things!!



and this is our latest addition to the house. we picked up some shelves yesterday afternoon, and they had some really nice big plants. we've been wanting a big one for our dining room. its actually a money tree!! haha. its a japanese kind of tree, and i'm pretty sure the only thing that makes it a money tree is the way the bottom is sort of braided together? there were little bonsai ones too. i thought having a money tree was appropriate for planning a wedding. haha.

anyhow, thank you everyone for your comments and congratulations. and the feedback on the dresses! i think the hillary one is my favourite too... i don't know though! tyler's friend brady also gave me a good idea - i hadn't really decided how i wanted to groomsmen to tie in with the whole retro theme. i want the bridesmaids in polka dot dresses - 50's style, but different. i don't want them all in the same polka dot print, or the same cut of dress. and then with a bright coloured sash, different colour on each. i don't want the men to wear jackets, just vests. and brady suggested bow ties!!!! i was pretty excited. polka dot bow ties will be the best.

i sent you all an invite to the engagement party... the date MAY change, but i will know later today. i would really like it if you all came, but i am not expecting it as i know you probably all have lots going on. laura, it would be wicked cool if you could come for the weekend, and then we could take some clicks of us, and also the engagement party! if anyone thinks they can make it down... of course my mom will probably be able to put some people up, as well we have a spare room and a really big comfy couch.
